At the beginning of 2007 we had a real shake of the UF tree. This led to a stripping down of the team from being an 'international' one and going back to being made up of the core members from Seidojin. On paper, all looked ok but it wasn't until we all got together as a unit (including most of our sponsored athletes) for the first time to film for the ITV, that we saw everything magically gel. The sponsored guys stepped up with amazing skills, an eagerness to represent and mixed with the acidic humour of the vets, produced a vibe that was better than it has ever been. Kind of like a revisit to the old skool days but with mad skills and experience already in the bag. After this particular day of filming, everyone in the core team agreed that we'd been too 'serious' for a long while and that the sponsored guys had actually given us a massive lift.
